Hi, I’m Sarah and I fell into blogging by accident!

I went to an event at the end of 2011 and I needed somewhere to share the experience; I found WordPress. After that I started posting about whatever took my fancy; a review of the year, saving Amur leopards, my photos of snow, ducks, and so on. I had a blog!

It’s evolved since then, and though I occasionally go off topic (there maybe a dash of psychology, and astronomy), this blog is mainly about my photos, my wildlife garden, local wildlife, and conservation. I aim to inspire an appreciation for wildlife and to encourage everyone to look after it.

I live in South-East England and I’m calling myself a hobbyist photographer and blogger. As well as wildlife, conservation, photography, and gardening; I love science, space, technology, and films.

This is a short clip illustrating how my garden has changed since I started working on it for wildlife.

A lot can change in a couple of years; here’s a more up to date video of the garden as it is now [2017] Click for video here. Lots more flowers, and even a pond!

I hope you will enjoy my content here and take something positive from it.

  1. Your garden wasn’t totally empty…you had all those trees and greenery supplied by your neighbours! Makes for a very nice backdrop to your own, now much improved garden. Congrats. on your efforts so far. 🙂

    • True, the neighbours trees are great, they’re still there providing habitat, especially the willow – the birds love to hang out in it and drop down to our garden from there.

Thank you 🙂 I keep thinking ‘I’ll just do this and I’ll be finished’ but then I have another idea…
