My flowers are excited to have a good soaking, but I’m excited for other reasons…! 😉
Firstly the meadow (above) is growing well and so far hasn’t been flattened by the weather.
Secondly I got the edging I bought in! This whole odd shaped bed is now edged, and the small bed with my camellia is edged too.
More excitingly we now have a hedgehog hole in the fence 🙂
And it only took a few days, and I found this poop, which we believe is hog poo! I’m very pleased to have prickly visitors and I’ve been putting water out for them. We will hopefully make them a home too, and I want to make a mammal tunnel so we can get some hog footprints and more proof we have them.
The garden as a whole is looking good as more and more flowers come into bloom.
The pond is settling in. I now have hornwort (oxygenator) and frogbit (floating) in there and I’ve added a few more cobbles.
The water buttercup is flowering 🙂 I wasn’t expecting to be worried about it flooding this early in the year though! I wanted rain, but we’ve had so much both our water butts are already full.
Most excitingly, today I spotted a frog in the pond! 😀 It likes hiding under the tile ramp, but when I accidentally disturbed it, not knowing it was there, it came out for a little while – long enough for a photo. It’s back under there now.
Hope your garden is doing well too 🙂
