We always have a robin in attendance in our garden, and often two, presumably a pair. They’re almost always the first to come and see me when I go outside 🙂 Here’s some recent photos.
Above is one of the Robins on one of our bird baths, and below in a hedge.
I’ve noticed they’ve started hunting for insects in our compost heap, this one is next to it. I think I might have moved some pots here and it swooped in to see what was hiding underneath.
They like to perch on top of the feeder pole and have a good look around.
This one has found dinner 🙂 If they have a nest I don’t know where it is.. probably at a neighbours. We have a robin box up, but they haven’t shown interest.
They love this feeder – sunflower hearts in a feeder with looped perches – perfect! 😀
It’s not hard to see why they’re our National Bird! I do love the robin, but I don’t think they’re my favourite of all garden birds. How about you?
