I have completed some more jobs in the garden, and with all the sunshine and rain everything is growing fast. It’s all so green!
I have finished sheet mulching the oval flower bed yesterday. Hopefully this will kill off the invading grass for good, and the oval will forget it was ever lawn!
It looks a bit odd because I think the grass prevented some things I put in from growing, so the flower arrangement is patchy. But this will be fixed over time.
The garden as a whole is looking alright. I’m keeping on top of the weeding elsewhere, though I do keep some of what most people consider weeds for the wildlife benefit; some dandelions, nettles (in certain places where I won’t get stung often), and such.
The border is filling in nicely. And that yellow erysimum smells soooo good, it’s like honey!
I just put in another climber, another lovely smelling thing, clematis fragrant oberon. And I’ve finally brought a little dish, popped in some pebbles, and some water, and declared it my bee pond! 😀
I’ve more photos of the garden to share soon; pictures of things in flower, and my meadow specifically. I hope to get pictures of bees having a drink from their new pond too.
Have you added anything new so far this year?
