I hope I’m not boring you with the goings on in my garden. I do have ideas for other posts, just not the time to spend on them currently; because I’m working in the garden so much! I wish for my progress to be inspiring.
As you can see above, we’ve added in a trellis for my pyracantha – another tick off the to do list! It was a panel we got for something else and didn’t use it, so we’ve re-purposed it!
I can also tick off my weeding! I now could really do with some mulch though!
This trench we dug has now been cleared out of soil, lined with landscaping fabric, and filled in most of the way with ballast. Now to do the other end of the patio, and top off with cobbles.
We waste nothing and all the turf is going in a turf pile to slowly rot down. I’ve covered it to keep the heat and moisture in.
We can hardly see this from the house, and when the border and meadow grow in some more, we won’t see it at all.
All the excess top soil is being used too. Parts of the lawn that weren’t quite level are being levelled with it!
I’m achy from all the work, but it’s so nice out lately, and I’m really enjoying the work, and watching the garden grow. Look at my Guelder rose! Everything is getting leafy 😀
The birds continue to be busy, especially the sparrows and blue tits. I think the redpolls may have moved on 😦 I haven’t seen them for a bit.
Are you making headway in your garden?
