We’ve been having some nice sunny days recently, with only spells of rain. So I’ve grabbed a few more photos from my garden. This is a photo of where I’ve just put out my bee nest box for this year. Hopefully the bees will approve.
My nest bird boxes have been up for a while now, but I’ve finally taken photos of them too. This is the box in our silver birch, it replaced an old one in the same place. We’ve had blue tits and great tits in this tree before.
This is our swift box. As, I mentioned in a previous post, it’s been moved along the house a bit as necessity so we’d still be able to access it for maintenance.
This is our DIY sparrow terrace. It’s on the back of our garage next to next door’s bay tree; we know sparrows hang out in there.
Our Redpolls are still visiting. In a flock with siskins and goldfinch, I’m going through seed like never before!
Colour is returning, and with it more food for pollinators. My crocus are out, so are some of my daffodils. I can see bluebell shoots and possibly fritillary. I have some heathers in bloom, and my camellia, and hellebore.
I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next. And to better weather so I can get gardening properly!
