I am so very late in getting these photos posted! We had snow almost two weeks ago. Anyway I didn’t get many photos; there wasn’t much snow, and it wasn’t around for long. Also it was Sunday and I slept in!
As you can see the birds left their mark. Little dinosaur footprints.. 😉
We were unprepared and our heated bird bath wasn’t switched on.. so I had some ice to remove for it, and our regular bird baths.
Here’s Robin seeing what I’m up to.
These pretty berries in the snow caught my eye.
It was cold enough to freeze for a few days, but that was it for the snow. The freezing temperatures meant we could test our heated bird bath though; it still works. One morning it was frozen over except for two circular areas in the middle – where the heat from the lamps kept it from freezing 🙂 Good enough for birds to get a drink!
Now of course we’re back to wind and rain 😦 I really kind of miss having a proper cold winter, this just feels weird.
The garden plants remain confused, but I now have daffodils coming up; one is blooming, snowdrops and bluebells are on their way, and some fritillary I think too.
I’m starting to plan what I’m going to do in the garden when it’s nicer out, and I’m ready for the birdwatch this weekend 😀
