A couple of days ago we had our first snow for this winter 😀
Above is my Fuchsia, growing in an old chimney pot, covered in it’s first snow. Bit of a shock to it’s system I expect!
The weather has been so mild, before this cold snap, that I have a foxglove that thinks it’s spring – it’s opened up a flower in November. I’ve mulched the best I can; I hope my plants survive.
This is Mahonia – I love sharing it, it’s a lovely splash of colour in the winter.
And here’s a welcome visitor having a snack.
I’ve noticed quite an increase in birds in the garden recently – all the tits are here. Lots of blue tits, coal tits, great tit, occasional small flocks of long tailed tit, and I’ve seen a couple of fire crests. The finches have finally decided to come and see me again too – goldfinch and chaffinch so far.
Is your garden confused this year? Any new visitors?
