I have a few more photos of some of the flowers that caught my eye in my garden this summer.
I’m still very pleased I managed to grow this vipers bugloss from seed. I didn’t have any luck last time and I really love how it looks!
This is selene; it’s so delicate looking.
Knapweed in my meadow is always a hit with the bees.
And this is an Aquilegia seed pod, I like their shape. I hadn’t grown them before this year, so I have found out that these pods are sticky!
One more of the meadow. We haven’t cut it all down yet, the weather turned on us a bit, but we’ll have to soon. I always worry it won’t come back next year, but so far it always reseeds itself!
The past few days I’ve been helping a friend with their garden and it’s just as satisfying to see their garden coming along, as it is seeing mine grow. Gardening the past few years has been a mostly solitary endeavour, now it’s a social activity too 🙂
