I’ve been promising you all more meadow photos, and now they are ready!
The meadow is a couple of years old now and the ox eye daisy tend to dominate. If you get closer you can see a handful of other species though, which is nice. There are always insects moving from flower to flower and I have some photos of bees to come later.
Here are some shots of the whole meadow 🙂 it’s nice to sit in the arbour seat at the back.
Here are some more close ups
You can see a few more flowers in this next one – plantain and vetch.
The meadow as a whole contains a number of grasses, Ox eye daisy, plantains, mouse ear, vetch, birds foot trefoil, red clover, knapweed, and black medic.
This daisy is on the edge of the meadow. You can see my blurry border! That’s probably my scabious there.
That’s it, I hope they were worth waiting for 😀
Do you have a meadow patch, or any plans for one?
