I was invited for a walk at Haysden country park. It was my first time there, and I’m really glad I went. We saw ducks, geese, swans, and baby swans and geese 😀
I remembered to take a camera, so here’s what I got:
At first we saw just the one swan..
..but a bit further into the walk we were lucky enough to see a whole family who had stopped to feed by a fisherman and his equipment.
Aren’t the little signets cute? I had to take a video too:
Sorry about the wobbles, it was zoomed in and hand-held, plus I had to move out the way of a bike!
There were also lots of goslings. It looks like these Canada geese have a bit of creche going on.
I also spotted this; it’s a Great crested grebe, and although they’re not rare, I think it’s the first one I’ve seen – certainly the first since I really got into photography and bird watching! The photo is a bit fuzzy :s It was a fast grebe 😉
It was a good day 😀
