I often call my cat my shadow as she sometimes follows me around, but in the garden it’s the Robins that keep a close eye on me.
I have some recent-ish photos of Robins and Dunnocks I haven’t shared here yet; so here they are!
The top photo is our Robin on a tree stump. I have a few sections of tree trunk around the garden; they serve as dead wood for the insects, and feeding stations for the birds – they aren’t too bad for taking natural looking photos of birds either. The wood came from a tree a neighbour had cut down; so I offered to give the wood a new purpose.
Above is one of our cute Dunnocks on the fence.
Here’s the Robin again, singing it’s head off 🙂
Another Dunnock, this one foraging on the lawn.
This Robin looks dishevelled! It’s moulting I think. (Sorry it’s not a great photo)
This is our relatively new bark pathway. The birds like to forage in it. Mr Blackbird is constantly tossing bark around :S Here’s the Robin checking it out.
This was a lucky – right time, right place job. I was standing close to the newly cut laurel hedge, with my camera, when this cutie popped out! 😀
I hope to get more new stuff ready for the blog soon. I thought I would today as it was raining, but we worked in the garage instead! We were cutting wood and starting to construct something new for the garden – I will have photos of that too.
Have a good weekend all.
