I have lots of garden photos for you; plenty of things are blooming now and I want to share them with you, for example, my snakes head fritillary are out.
The trouble is, when the weather is this nice, I tend to be outside a lot more and therefore am not inside editing my photos! I will get to them though.
I also have photos from the butterfly exhibit at the Natural History Museum to share (like the teaser photo above), and some updates on my garden birds 🙂
I have a question for you guys. It’s been warm and sunny here for several days (it’s lovely), and my water butts are empty. I try not to use mains water if I can help it to save money, so my question is: do you have any water saving solutions?
I’ve been trying to think about when we use water in the house and if we can re-use it. But I don’t know how the garden would like soapy water and I’m certainly not giving that to the birds! So far I’ve decided that when we strain veggies of the water they were cooked in, we’ll do it over a bucket and use that water when it’s cooled. It’s not a lot but it’s a start.
Most may not welcome rain, but right now I’m considering a rain dance… my seedlings need a drink.
