All being well, I’m going to Natural History Museum soon. I’m seeing the Sensational Butterfly exhibit for the first time 😀 I think I’m going to love having all those pretty creatures flying around me. Hopefully I’ll get some photos too!
In the meantime, here are some more crocus photos from my garden. Crocuses and butterflies, sounds very spring to me!
There were a few crocuses in this old chimney pot I re-purposed as a planter.
But most are down the other end of my garden, by the leaky watering can I re-purposed as a planter…
Don’t mind the messyness. I’ve used shredded bits of shrub from last year’s pruning, and leaves, as mulch. It’s worked well to keep moisture in, reduce weeds and will eventually add organic matter to the soil. I can actually see where worms are pulling the leaves under.
These images are a little old now. The crocus’ have pretty much finished their display now. They’ve given way to the daffodils and snakes head fritillary. Photos of those soon 😉
It definitely looks and feels like spring now!
What’s springing up in your patch?
