My birds are getting more and more use to me in the garden, and I’m getting better at creeping up on them! I’ve been lucky enough to get close enough to take the photos in this post. I didn’t need camouflage or to wait ages either, though I have done that.
It’s true you hear the birds before you see them and it’s a good thing to remember. (Don’t blackbirds make a noise when they land on a fence!?)
I’m quite pleased with the robin one, he popped out of the laurel really near me to see if I had brought food I think! I heard it in there. Glad it stayed just long enough for me to get a shot. And I don’t think I’ve managed to get so close with blue tits before 😀 The lens I use is 55-250 but I now have a new one I’m yet to properly try out that goes to 400! I should be able to zoom really close now.
