I’ve been a bit crafty lately, adding to my collection of home made decorations!
I’m certainly no expert on such things, but I like to think I do OK, so here’s a bit of what I’ve made.
It’s great for saving money and recycling. I’ve used odd off cuts from wrapping paper for some of my creations.
This tree is really simple to make.
Draw a tree shape on stiff card and cut it out. Use this as a template to make a second one.
Then cut a couple of slits like you can see below. These need to be as wide as the card is thick, and as long as half the tree.
Decorate them on both sides and when dry you can slot them together.
Even simpler is a hanging tree cut out.
Here I’ve made paper trees, snowflakes and paper chain snowmen.
As extra gifts for some kids I know I made some crafty things.
I made a bracelet and ice crown a little Elsa (Frozen) might like. Here I am modelling the bracelet.
It’s just a ring of paper with an attached snowflake.
It’s done up with alternate slits.
I don’t know how long it will last but hopefully it’ll provide some fun.
Here’s the ice crown.
And for a lickle Star Wars fan, an x-wing!
This was done with the aid of a YouTube video again, it’s a lot harder to make than a snowflake!
Have you been crafty this Christmas?
