The weather in the UK is extremely wet and windy right now, so lets transport ourselves back to summer for moment…
The above plant is a Sedum ‘Abby dore’ and the bees chose it at the garden centre, they really love it 🙂 And for anyone who wants to know; the globe thistle in my previous pictures is called Eryngium Planum ‘Sea holly’.
The birds sowed us some sunflowers this year and the bees quite liked that too!
And some butterflies…
Our new Aster didn’t bloom for long this year, but it did attract some action… hopefully it will do better next year.
This little guy we saved when we cut the meadow in autumn, not sure what type of butterfly or moth it could have become but it seems to me it was leaving it rather late.
And I found this fella as well! I don’t know my insects but he seems to be a kind of shield bug, maybe a forest bug? I don’t think I’ve seen one in the garden before 🙂
Or my Flickr Little creatures set.
