Spring is here and I’m enjoying as much of it as I can!
I been wandering about in the woods listening to the birds, watching squirrels and keeping an eye out for Blue Bells; they were growing last time I looked but no flowers yet. It’ll be a lovely sea of blue when they come out, which of course I will photograph. I have woodsy photos to edit and upload if they’re good enough and some video too.
ETA: Video of some woods here
I’ve also been watching the birdies in our garden. Blue Tits are nesting in our bird box \o/ I’ve seen them flying to and fro with nesting material. Most recently, dog fur from next door’s garden! It was funny watching these big tufts of white (he’s lovely and white all over) German Shepherd fur go flying across the garden.
I’ve been to a park, not too far from me, that has a lake. I took loads of photos there; ducks mostly but some landscape shots, geese, other birds, flowers etc I think I took around 700 in just a couple of hours! Probably around 200 were deleted as soon as I got them on my computer though; the beauty of digital photography – shoot loads with no worry about wasting film and delete all the crappy shots. I still have many to review and edit but some are online already.
Hopefully I can fit some other trips in soon, need to book some time of work I think!
I’m already looking ahead to the summer; I can’t wait to visit the Wildlife Heritage Foundation and see the big cats in June, and Eastbourne Airbourne will be a fun day out in August. I have brought new, bigger SD cards so I can capture everything!
